Aliyah Hirji

Former Chief Operating Officer

April 2020-April 2021

Aliyah Hirji is the former Chief Operating Officer (COO) of STEM Without Boundaries. At SWB, she worked with and trained 50+ Directors and Executive Directors on the Leadership Team, as well as built the organization from the start in April 2020 with other Board Directors. She worked with numerous specific teams over her duration of service at
SWB and worked on several projects to help better and grow our organization.


Aliyah is currently the Youth Board Member at the City of Novi Youth Assistance and a distinguished James J. Kerrigan Scholar. She is also involved in many community organizations and leads several clubs at her high school in Novi, Michigan.


She is excited to embark on her new journey at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan this fall. Aliyah will major in Biology and minor in Spanish on a pre-dental track. She aspires to become an orthodontist and run a business, as well become a future city council member in her community.

Proudest Accomplishments:

  • Serving as one of the first Board Directors of SWB to start our organization and establish our 9 sectors on our Leadership Team.

  • Inspiring our SWB community as a young female leader in STEM.

  • Advising and serving as a mentor for our Directors and Executive Directors.

  • Recruiting Directors and Executive Directors from diverse backgrounds globally.

  • Growing our organization through live sessions and interviews to feature her work.

  • Creating and cultivating partnerships with several organizations and communities

    to reach more students, families, educators, and STEM professionals.

  • Organizing and working with distinguished panelists of our Tech Series.

  • Bringing SWB to more platforms and helping to initiate our YouTube channel.

  • Designing our entire website theme for better marketing and accessibility to our SWB community.

  • Creating a Virtual Training Program in Summer 2020 to support Chapter

    Presidents better with virtual community outreach and Virtual STEM Nights due to the pandemic.

  • Building and leading the Community Chapters initiative for our numerous global chapters, creating a lasting impact on the accessibility of Chapter establishment.
