Diversity & Inclusion team

The Diversity & Inclusion Team works towards breaking down barriers and providing equitable opportunities for underrepresented groups in STEM. STEM Without Boundaries strives to create a space that allows all voices to be heard by embracing and encouraging differences in race, ethnicity, origin, sex, gender expression or identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion, socioeconomic status, and all other backgrounds and identifiers.
Ayana Griffin
Executive Director of Diversity and Inclusion

Ayana is a gap year student that will be starting at Stanford University next fall to pursue her BS in Computer Science. Her main career goal is to use Computer Science and technology to improve access and quality of education worldwide. In her free time, she loves watching way too much reality TV, reading, and learning about other cultures!

Desiree Nguyen
Director of Diversity and Inclusion

Desiree Nguyen is a junior at Barry Goldwater High School in Arizona. As a Diploma candidate for the International Baccalaureate program, she enjoys the challenging and rewarding curriculum offered in her Biology HL and Psychology SL courses. She loves to volunteer for Teen Lifeline as well as lead several service projects in her community as the President of the Rotary-sponsored Interact Club at her school. Nowyshin Mridula

My name is Nowyshin Mridula and I am really excited to be part of SWB and especially the D & I Team. I am a sophomore at Townsend Harris High School. I am a mechanic in my school’s Robotics team, which made me really interested in CAD and mechanical engineering. In my free time, I enjoy dancing, choreographing, and playing badminton with my brothers.

Jazzlyn Haque

My name Is Jazzlyn Haque, and I am currently a junior at Vista del Lago High School in Folsom, California. In my free time, I love to read, play video games, and take naps. I look forward to being a part of SWB and making a difference.

communications team

The Communications Team mentors and guides Chapter Presidents through a 16-week course. They lead weekly meetings with all Chapter Presidents to help them establish sustainable Chapters and organize successful STEM Nights in their communities. 
Jasmyne Mendoza
Executive Director of Communications

Jasmyne is a senior at Decatur High School, and is dedicated to educating younger students and sharing her excitement for STEM. She is delighted to be serving as an Executive Director of Communications for STEM Without Boundaries, and she hopes her skills will be able to contribute excellent mentorship and organization to the team. In her free time, Jasmyne can be found volunteering with local habitat restoration, collecting houseplants, or watching Netflix documentaries.

Tanisha Panchal
Executive Director of Communications

Tanisha Panchal is a junior at Troy High School and is one of the Executive Directors of Communication for
STEM Without Boundaries. She is the president for SparkED and leads her robotics team, volunteering
clubs, and various other STEAM-related programs. Tanisha is really interested in raising awareness for
science disciplines and wishes to pursue a career in chemistry! In her free time, she really enjoys cooking
and watching Netflix!

Andrew Wolff
Director of Communications

Andrew Wolff is a high school sophomore at the Wardlaw-Hartridge School in Edison, NJ. He is a new director of communications at STEM Without Boundaries and is excited to assist chapter presidents in creating a successful STEM night in their communities. A goal of his is to help educate and empower younger individuals in various communities in the form of a STEM night. In his free time, he likes to hang out with friends and play tennis.

Sally Nakazawa
Director of Communications

Sally Nakazawa is a student at McGill University in Montreal, Canada studying Cognitive Science and Economics. Her interests include behavioral science, psychiatry, hands-on research and entrepreneurship. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis and traveling; she is looking forward to giving young students opportunities for immersion in STEM! 

Arya Kalathil
Director of Communications

Arya Kalathil is a senior at Lake Braddock Secondary School in Northern Virginia. She's passionate about science, specifically psychology, neuroscience, and medicine.

Medha Maroju
Director of Communications

Medha Maroju is a junior at Novi High School. She's part of various clubs in her school such as the debate team, HOSA, and DECA. In her free time, she enjoys painting, playing tennis, and spending time with her friends and family.

Sarah Mounajjed
Director of Communications

Sarah Mounajjed is a sophomore at Middleton High School. This is her first term and she is so excited to be apart of this amazing team to make STEM more accessible to all! She is passionate and an advocate specifically for women’s equality within STEM. She is involved in many different extra curricular’s such as HOSA, Biology Club, 7 o clock jazz , FUTP60 and more! When not busy she loves to spend time with friends and family. In addition, she hopes to pursue a career in Medicine in the future!

Rhea Sridhara
Director of Communications

Rhea Sridhara is a junior at Salem High School in Michigan. She is very excited to be working with the STEM Without Boundaries team to help kids get excited about the STEAM field! She loves working with kids as a tutor, and is involved with many non-profits including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the American Red Cross. At her school, she serves as a board member for PCEP HOSA and is the president of PCEP Stand Against Cancer. In her free time, she loves to dance, hang out with her friends, and read mysteries, especially Sherlock Holmes novels!

Technology team

The Technology Team works closely with the Board of Directors and the Leadership Team to update and maintain the STEM Without Boundaries website. They are responsible for designing, editing, and enhancing the website. Some of their work includes creating new subpages, reorganizing current pages, and adding flyers to the website.
Shriya Rudraraju
Executive Director of Technology

Shriya is a sophomore from Michigan. She joined STEM Without Boundaries to encourage more youth members to learn more about STEM. She adores using her abilities to better the community. In her free time, she enjoys baking, listening to music, and dancing.

Nyla Choudry
Executive Director of Technology

Nyla is a sophomore in high school from Maryland and is interested in learning more about website creation and engagement. When not in school, Nyla likes to spend her time playing field hockey, reading, and spending time with family. 

Vincent Lin
Director of Technology

Vincent is a senior at Arroyo High School in California. He enjoys playing badminton and performing music in his free time. He is the Marching band Drum Captain and the Badminton Team Captain at his high school. He also enjoys binge watching Netflix and his favorite show is The Office.

Kaustubh Harnoor
Director of Technology

Kaustubh Harnoor is a junior at Homestead High School in California. He is interested in computer science and passionate about working on projects and learning more about the field.

Julia Hansen
Director of Technology

Julia is currently taking a gap year and is from the Bay Area, CA. Next year she will be attending Harvey Mudd College down near LA. She loves doing Arduino projects, watching anime and is interested in environmental studies! 

Media team

The Media Team is responsible for creating and editing videos that promote STEM Without Boundaries programs and projects. They have made several videos inclusive of virtual STEM Night recaps, videos of the Leadership Team and Chapter Presidents, and videos on STEM Handouts. The Media Team collaborates with others to make the videos more engaging for the STEM Without Boundaries audience.
Wenyan Zhang
Director of Media

Wenyan is a sophomore at Boston University majoring in Statistics and minoring in Film & TV. Her interests include data science, photography, and traveling. In her free time, she enjoys watching films, listening to music, and exploring new places.

Neha Chinimilli

Hi, my name is Neha Chinimilli! I’m a junior at Novi High School. During my free time, I love to read, bake, and rewatch Parks & Rec. I’m very excited to be apart of the SWB team! 

Tanish Kalwad
Director of Media

My name is Tanish Kalwad and I’m a junior at Adam’s High School in Michigan. I am on the varsity swim team, have been playing piano for 11 years, and love to film and edit short films for my YouTube channel.

The Social Media Marketing Team works with the Research Team to create our social media posts. They create informational and creative flyers, posts, and newsletters in order to promote STEM Without Boundaries activities and provide content for the audience.
Lauren Zaidel
Executive Director of Social Media Marketing

Lauren Zaidel is a junior at Palisades Charter High School in Los Angeles, California. She loves coding, AI and machine learning, and she's interested in all things STEM! She's passionate about making sure all voices are heard - especially representing women and multiracial backgrounds in the field, being biracial herself. She's involved in silicon-valley startups, nonprofits, school clubs, and more!

Catherine Jia
Executive Director of Social Media Marketing

Catherine Jia is a current junior at Fayetteville-Manlius High School in New York. She is the co-founder and co-president of Health Professionals of Tomorrow, involved in Science Olympiad, Student Council, Dance Team, MUN, and other various activities. She is very passionate about STEM and plans to pursue a career in the medical field. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with friends and family, cooking, baking, and dancing

outreach team

The Outreach Team is responsible for organizing collaborations, Instagram takeovers, and workshops. They manage the STEM Without Boundaries inbox, maintain partnerships, and send out media releases to various news networks and organizations. 
Michelle Xiao
Executive Director of Outreach

Michelle Xiao is a junior at Little Flower Academy in Vancouver, BC. She is ecstatic to serve another term on Stem Without Boundaries and utilize her skills to inspire students to explore and pursue various careers in the STEM field. When she’s not volunteering or kick-starting novel initiatives, you can find her speaking passionately at a Model United Nations conference, participating in a cross country meet, reminiscing about her travels, or writing poetry in her secluded room.

Lily Dalsin

My name is Lily Dalsin and I am a high school junior at BASIS Ahwatukee. My favorite subject is chemistry and I am excited to help educate elementary students on the importance of STEM and STEM related careers.

Nathan Crasto
Director of Outreach

Nathan is a rising junior at Novi High School. He is participating in various extracurriculars such as, Boy Scouts, Hosa, and Soccer. As a Boy Scout Nathan is working on making Accessible gardens beds for people with physical disabilities. He is passionate about helping others and positively impacting the community.

Susie Liang

Hello! My name is Susie Liang and I am a junior at Centennial High School in Maryland. In my free time, I enjoy going out on drives with my favorite playlist playing and spending time with my friends! I hope to further expand my interests in the various STEM fields through SWB, while helping others do the same simultaneously. Being a Director of Outreach, I would love to expand our presence and watch the STEM community grow!

Sarah Liu

Hello! My name is Sarah Liu and I'm a junior at Elgin Park Secondary School in BC, Canada. I love to play badminton and video games and eat out with friends whenever we have the time. Recently, I picked up web development and discovered a new hobby to mix up my two interests: art and coding.

Alexander Zhuang
Director of Outreach

Alexander Zhuang is a sophomore at William Fremd High School in Illinois. He's very interested in all things STEM-related and is currently involved in various activities, including HOSA, Model United Nations, and Coding Club. Additionally, he's a co-leader of a district elementary tutoring club at his high school and is also a teacher's assistant at Xilin Community School, a non-profit organization that provides supplementary education. He's very excited to spread his interest in STEM through his work within STEM Without Boundaries. In his free time, he likes to drum, play the piano, and spend time with family and friends.

Hey, I’m Charlotte, a student in Year 12 from the UK studying Economics, English Literature and Geography. I’m interested in the Business field, and hope to pursue a career in either Human Resources, Finance or Operations. I am also part of the student council where we hold employability sessions and competitions. My hobbies: volunteering as it gives me a chance to give back to the community, writing articles, tutoring students, listening to music, dancing, painting and playing badminton. Fun fact: I was selected to be mentored by Vodafone’s employees from across 5 schools amongst 40 students to represent my school and was also shortlisted in top 10 for the challenger bank pitch at ‘The London Institute of Banking & Finance’. Varsha Sayana

Varsha Sayana is a high school freshman at Fulton Science Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a multisport athlete involved in varsity volleyball, varsity track, dance, and coaches middle school girls basketball as well. Varsha aims to pursue a career in criminal law, but ultimately dreams of entering the United States political scene as a member of Congress. In her free time, Varsha is an avid traveler, enjoys visiting new places, and loves cruising with family and friends!

Sofia Quintero

Hi! My name is Sofia Quintero and I’m currently a junior at Cypress Bay High School in Florida. I’m very passionate about STEM and the medical field and am aspiring to pursue a career as a dermatologist, which is why I’m so excited to help others realize their passions for STEM as well. I’m involved in organizations such as DECA, HOSA, UNICEF, and Spanish Honor Society, where I learn so much and am able to give back to my community in many ways. Simona Hausleitner is a high school senior at BASIS Phoenix in Arizona. She plans to pursue a career in medicine and STEM research, and her interests include biology, psychology, neuroscience, and politics. She is also involved in activist organizations such as AZ Youth Climate Coalition and March for Our Lives AZ. In her free time, she enjoys adventuring outdoors, traveling to foreign countries, and surfing at the beach.

Sai is a junior at International Academy West, and he is very interested in many different subjects of science. He is the captain and founder of the Forensics team at his school, and is also a volunteer in multiple different cultural organizations in Michigan. He has also worked closely with organizations in the past in helping educate younger children in different STEM subjects they are interested in. His interests include practicing violin and playing tennis, and also enjoys volunteering with his family.
